Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines is one of the largest jet carrier of Denver International Airport with an average system-wide departures and arrivals of 250 daily. Frontier Airlines was founded in 1994 by some of the executives working in another airline with the same name (Frontier Airline) that began operations in 1984, but which was merged into Continental Airlines.
The former Frontier(now Continental Airlines) carried 87 million passengers over the years and was nationally recognized for both the quality of its service and its outstanding safety record. On July 5, 1994, The new Frontier Airlines was launched with two Boeing 737-200s on routes linking Denver to Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot, N.D. It started its business with only 180 employees. The major competitor of Frontier Airlines' is currently Southwest Airlines as the latter also have started flying to and from Denver.
Frontier has the US' youngest fleet of aircrafts (less than two years) and consists exclusively of Airbus planes. Frontier Airlines is based in Denver, Colorado, and flies both domestically and to Mexico. Most of its flights pass through Denver, but lately it has started offering flights from other cities.
